Rating: I originally gave this item 3/5 stars but I want to update that rating to 4/5 based upon how easy the seller is to work with and how helpful they have been to date. There are issues and flaws with this unit but for the most part, everything works as I was expecting it to work. The unit design and cable management inside the case are both top notch. There are flaws with this unit but I don't believe they are better or worse than other units and this distribute has been very responsive and helpful so far.My Current Situation: I received a unit in early January after the distorter had disabled the favorites list, due to a flaw that could crash the unit in some cases when the favorites list has been used. I indicated I was unhappy about this, especially considering. For an ARCADE build (not an 'emulate-all' solution that mixes console games with MAME arcade emulation) this is a great solution, much easier and less putzy than a Raspberry Pi or PC/MAME build with more limited customization options.
I'm not a fan of blending console and arcade emulation on a single machine since the control schemes are designed differently, so for my arcade cabinet build I gave one of these a go.This is the latest (2018) version of the real 3A Game Pandora's Box 5, not one of the many oddball clones out there. This model includes the latest quad core Cortext A7 processor @ 1.2 ghz, and the dual core Mali 400 MP2 graphics procesor @ 600 mhz, so emulation performance is much improved over the version 4 family and the various clones out there. Mainly bought this standard Jamma PCB to play the classic Williams arcade games like Blaster (aka Robotron 2085: Blaster). Only minor issue to contend with, is that the countdown clock in the Nintendo Playchoice 10 game iteration of Super Mario Bros. Tends to run too fast than normal - making it harder to finish any given level within the time allotted (and there's no proper way to gain access to slow down the timer anyways). It's awesome to be able to play Robotron 2084 on a candy cab setup with a pair of joysticks. I'm upgrading an older multi-game cabinet with a second computer using this card and a JAMMA switch. The existing wiring for the old computer's USBLinx board had the controls all grounded on pins 27 and 28 (common in JAMMA configs). At first I thought I got a bad board after I plugged it in and didn't get any inputs even though it was recognized in Windows.
I got the idea to try bridging the pins manually to test (I used the included audio cable) and it worked fine. Pins 27 and 28 are inputs on this board, so I cut the original ground pins on my harness and redirected my buttons to ground on pins 1 and 2.
